Being an active member in the community is as important to us as our projects and customers. Our dedication goes beyond the corporate-level of giving and we encourage all our employees to participate in various fundraising events and volunteering efforts. Comfort Systems’ Community Involvement Committee began in 2015 with a mission to make a difference to both those in the community and our company by contributing our time and energy, donating tangible and intangible items, and raising awareness on several causes. We believe that inspiring and empowering our employees is the start of giving back.
Our committee holds monthly meetings to discuss further ways to support charitable organizations throughout the year. Our committee is comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary to help structure our meetings and events. From collecting toys, canned goods, school supplies, and toiletries to participating in events to raise awareness, Comfort Systems’ Community Involvement Committee is always finding new and innovative ways to dedicate their time and efforts to the community at large.
Since the committee’s origination, there have been a handful of events and organizations that we have committed ourselves to. These include: the Bra-Ha-Ha, Chesapeake Wine Festival (hosted by the Chesapeake Rotary Club), Help and Emergency Response (H.E.R) Shelter, Hampton Roads HERO Games, Toys for Tots, the Polar Plunge, charitable golf tournaments, Hampton Roads Rubber Duck Race, and school donations throughout Hampton Roads. We are always looking for additional causes, events, and organizations to add to our Community Involvement book of giving back.
